Moar art. 'Nuff said. I want to make a new section about my current efforts toward a Metal Mittens sequel/reboot thing, but I feel like my time would be better spent wrestling with the code a bit more at the moment. Maybe next time!
There's a few new pics, as per usual. I'm still trying to churn out something vaguely presentable each day, though the past few days have felt a bit uninspired. I've started a new page for recent doodles in the Junk section, so anything that doesn't feel up-to-par (and sketchy lines of things I ended up colouring later) will end up stuffed in there. I might also go back and move some of my less wonderful Mono pics into there at a later date too. It's almost Spring, so it's clearly a good time for some Spring Cleaning!
The old Music section has now morphed into a Random section where I can stick all of my spontaneous creativity that isn't Art- or Games-related. For the time being this means that it contains, uh, the music that was there before, and some of the creative writing that I've done in the past. At least now if I suddenly remember yet-another-random-hobby that I could waffle on about I've got somewhere to stick said wafflage.
The front page to the Art section still feels like it could use a bit of work, but it will have to wait. Oh, and the Bio. I guess it's becoming a running gag.
Oh yeah, I appear to have reached 250,000 hits. I will celebrate reaching this milestone by... drinking even more tea!
First up, the art - I added a few more rough-ish pictures.
Secondly, I've been working on adding stuff to the Games section and tidying it up a bit, since it felt neglected in comparison to the artsy stuff. I've made the intro a bit nicer to look at, merged a few pages that were too small to exist on their own, and added some new stuff on the work with UT I did as part of my PhD. I'm sure there must be someone who finds this stuff interesting...
Uploaded a couple of new pictures and added stuff from 2004. Two updates in one week? Crazy.
Uh, okay, so I still don't seem to be updating terribly often.
I've tried to get the art situation up-to-date, although I'm not certain I've succeeded 100% quite yet. I've added old stuff dating back to 2005, but anything older than that is still missing (although it is debatable as to just how much point there is in including anything older than that anyway). The wallpaper section is still rather pathetically empty. On the plus side, I've overhauled the layout a bit since it seemed that navigation was a nuisance; I threw away the separate pages for each year, discarded the whole rough/clean and lined/shaded differentiation, and put an extra little navigation bar at the top when the situation merits it. Hopefully that all helps somewhat!
The gallery sections for 2008 are fairly small. 2008 was a bit light on the art-front, partly because my tablet decided it would break itself in a hilarious fashion and partly because I was much more focused on coding instead of drawing. I'm trying to balance the two a bit better these days, with the amusing consequence that I have already drawn pretty much as many things this year as I did in the whole of the last.
I'm also spotting an amusing trend that suggests I only update my webpage on Friday the 13th...
I thought it was about time I gave my website a serious overhaul, and after much effort, a good degree of head-scratching and rather too much procrastination, here it is!
I've tried to make this a bit more than just a showcase for my art, which is perhaps a little bit misguided given the URL and all. Fear not, though, because the pictures are still here; it's just that now they're joined by a bit more information about the random games I've been working on, various snippets of music I've tried to write, and so on.
This is still a bit of a Work In Progress, so expect things to change (procrastination permitting) and move around a bit. The main galleries only go back as far as 2006, and there's probably some pictures in the Junk section that shouldn't be in there really (although there's plenty that very definitely should). I've probably missed a few pictures too, although in a few cases that was because I just didn't like them at all. Lots of pictures could do with having some extra stuff written about them, but they'll have to wait; I just hope I haven't forgotten to credit anyone.
If there's anything glaringly obvious that's missing then hopefully it will appear sooner or later, although you can always (try to) pester me toward the "sooner" direction.
Let's see, I'm uploading this on Friday the 13th. What could possibly go wrong?
