A few years back I used to dread trying to draw people lying down. I'm not entirely sure which aspect of it I found problematic, but I had something of a block against the whole idea and could never seem to do a decent job of it. I'm not sure whether that thought had anything to do with the motivation for this picture, or whether I really just wanted to draw something a bit different and randomly ended up with this idea.

I think that this was one of the first pictures I drew featuring a more well-defined nose and lips (than my usual anime-style pictures, at least) that turned out looking acceptably good. I like how the face turned out, and I generally like the picture as a whole, although there are a couple of areas that I'm not so keen on individually. I also like the fact that she appears to be satisfyingly curvy without falling into my usual trap of "omg huej bewbz yeah"... but maybe I'm just easily pleased.
