When I was considerably younger, I used to draw lots and lots of little robots fighting with each other. Eventually these guys ended up making their way into various board-games and video-games that I made, most of which weren't particularly impressive or really all that fun to play (but hey, I still had fun making them).

During a phase of drawing particularly random things (even more random than usual), I thought it would be fun to go back and "re-imagine" some of those little robots. I even had the idea of making a game and putting them in it, although that didn't really work out and I ended up making something else instead.

Anyway, this is the updated design for the class of robot that was fairly weak and spindly, yet rather sneaky and malicious. Of course, I don't think he looks malicious at all, but I think that's quite acceptable since my idea was to make all of the designs look more cutesy than their original counterparts.

I particularly like his gun - it looks more like a hairdryer than anything more sinister!
